- *exactly* which file contains the library (libraries) you're talking about?
- After digging around on Portal I found that we had a file
- called "fastmath" with four replacement math libs.. her'es part of the
- .doc file from the archive::

- So I downloaded them, renamed my original libraries, and installed them.
-
- I'm running LightWave 3.5 standalone on an A1200 with a GVP 1230+
- Turbo card w/40mhz 030/882 and 10 meg of ram.
-
- With the original four math libraries, the "texture example" scene
- with its default settings rendered in 5min34sec. After installing
- the new libraries and rebooting and rendering the scene again,
- with the exact same settings it rendered in 4min49sec. Approximately
- a 15% speed increase, everything else being equal. 15% is good enough
- for me to leave these new libraries installed, providing they don't
- cause any problems with any of my usual software.
-
- But what exactly did you mean by "about 5x" ??
-
- Are you claiming that you're now rendering scenes FIVE TIMES faster?
